New Year - new features

It’s probably slightly too late to wish you all a happy new year but I’m going to do so anyway, if only because it gives me an opportunity to introduce some intriguing new features we added to Siine Writer over the Christmas period.

First of all – and nothing to do with Christmas I’m afraid - Siine Writer is now finally available in Spanish. (You can get it from the Android store here: http://bit.ly/zDYpNn)

We’ve always said that we want to open up Siine Writer to as many languages as possible, so this is a really important move for us. We’ve already had support from the Spanish-language media and it is exciting to open up Siine Writer to the 400 million people who speak Spanish as their mother tongue. Bienvenidos.

And this won’t be the end: we’d like to make Siine Writer available in as many languages as possible, so if you don’t speak English or Spanish, don’t despair – we’re working on it.

December also saw us introduce a special New Year’s Eve feature to Siine Writer, which we thought was pretty neat.

The idea was to help you with those tricky New Year’s Eve texts.

You know the ones: the clock has just struck midnight on December 31 and you’re trying to kiss a companion when a stream of texts come flooding in to your phone, wishing you all the best for the new year.

It’s all very nice of course but now you have to respond to the texts  when you’d really rather be dancing.

To combat this, we created a selection of Siines loaded with personal messages to send to your loved ones throughout the night, including:

The first person I want to kiss in 2012 is you.
Happy New Year! Looking forward to spending more time with you in 2012.
Happy New Year flower chops!

Saucy, eh?

We’ve also created Siines to wish people both Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. As ever, all you need to do to write these messages is to tap on the correct icon, one, two or three times, which leaves more time for dancing, drinking or even – if you’re lucky – kissing.

OK, so you probably won’t get an opportunity to actually use these Siines for the next 11 months but it’s good to know they are there.

Plus you can expect a whole load of other innovations from Siine before then. So stay in touch.
